Bravo Jr. Session 1 (Code 123)
June 2 – June 13, 2025 in-person at Derbyshire Baptist Church (8800 Derbyshire Rd, Richmond, VA 23229)
Hours: Mon. – Fri., 9AM to 3PM (optional extended day available at an additional cost)
- Early Arrival from 8:15AM to 9AM, $140
- Extended Afternoon from 3PM to 4:30PM, $210
Extended afternoons are not offered on the last day of camp. Youth will go home with trusted adults after their final sharing performance.
Grades: Rising 4th and 5th
Campers will explore the performing arts through theatrical techniques, song, dance, visual art, and so much more, all while crafting an original production using innovative, original ideas. Exciting camp experiences like theme days and guest artists make Bravo Jr. an unforgettable experience! Friends and family will be excited to share in your success by watching your final share.
Campers are welcome to enroll in Bravo Jr. session 2, but it’s important to note that the Bravo Jr. curriculum from session 1 will repeat in session 2.

Bravo Session 1 (Code 122)

Grades: Rising 6th to 8th
During this camp, each day is filled with engaging performing arts activities such as acting workshops, musical theatre training, audition skill building, creative movement, and artistic collaborations. Each week of camp include opportunities to share your creativity as well as an original musical theatre production at the end of camp.
Campers are welcome to enroll in Bravo session 2, but it’s important to note that the Bravo curriculum from session 1 will repeat in session 2.

Bravo Summer Company Session 1 (Code 124)

Grades: Rising 9th to Just-Graduated Seniors
This challenging, contemporary, non-audition-based program will train company members in skills like acting, music, dance, and script writing. Members of Bravo Summer Company will work collaboratively to form an ensemble and use their skills to devise an original musical theatre-based piece! Carefully curated workshops and master classes taught by industry professionals round out this dynamic summer experience. Your final day will culminate with a performance of the original work that you helped to create!

Focus In: Shorts! (Code 129)
June 2 – June 6, 2025 in-person at SPARC (2106 N. Hamilton St., Richmond, VA 23230)
Hours: Mon. – Fri., 9AM to 3PM (optional extended day care available at an additional cost)

Grades: Rising 4th through 7th
Step onto the red carpet for one week and learn more about the art of film from both sides of the camera! Students will gain hands-on experience in on-screen acting, camera work, and editing for movies and television and will even create independent projects featuring their own ideas.

SPARCLERS Mini Session 1 (Code 126)

Ages: 4 – 5*
*If your camper will be 6 years old by the first day of camp, you may enroll them in SPARCLERS.
Won’t You Be My Neighbor?
Explore important jobs in your neighborhood and learn about the people who do them! Take an adventure in your own backyard and discover how important you are in your neighborhood. Bring your imagination and your sense of community to this creative drama camp. Your family and neighbors will be able to join you for your end of camp final share.

Eras of Friendship
Find out what it means to make new friendships and discover new eras along the way! Step into a world filled with music and friendship in this imaginative camp. You’re sure to make some great music and friends during this week performing favorite songs, dances, and creative arts! Grab your friendship bracelets and show everyone what you learned by sharing your final performance on the last day of camp.

Backstage Camp 8th-12th (Code 130)

Location: SPARC
SPARC’s Backstage Camp is a great choice for young people who love to build new things, bring their ideas to life, and get a messy along the way. Learn important skills that designers and technicians need for staging theatrical productions, like painting, making props, stage management, costuming, and more.
Youth who are interested in learning more about technical theatre are encouraged to participate! No prior skills or experience are necessary.

Color Your World
Our world is full of color everywhere you look. Have you ever wondered how colors feel, or how you can mix them to create even more vibrant colors? As a young artist, you’ll learn more about the connections between color and personal expression using song, dance, and creative play. You’ll be able to show off your new performance masterpiece with the special people in your life during the end-of-week final share.
