SPARCLERS Mini Session 1 (Code 547)

Beginning with 2022 summer programming, we will require full vaccination against COVID-19 for every camper who is eligible to be vaccinated. Currently not all students in the age group, 4 and 5 year olds, are eligible for a vaccine. As SPARC policy, any students who are eligible for vaccines will need to be fully vaccinated by May 31, 2022.
June 27 – July 1, 2022 in-person at Epiphany Lutheran Church (1400 Horsepen Rd, Richmond, VA 23226)
Hours: 9am – 11am.
Ages: 4 – 5. If your camper will be 6 years old by the first day of camp, you may enroll them in SPARCLERS.
Theme: A Day at the Zoo
Do you love visiting animals at the zoo? Take a closer look at the zoo from the animals’ point of view during this week full of songs, dance, and crafts. Use your new performing arts skills to become different types of animals and creatures you find at the zoo. Show off your best roars and animal calls on the last day of camp in your final share for friends and family.

Theme: Sharing is Caring
Sharing is an important part of life and growing up. Learn excellent life lessons about what it means to share through song, dance, and creative play. Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to make new friends, practice sharing, and discover your love of performing arts. At the end of the week, you’ll be able to share what you learned during your final performance!

Theme: Color Your World
Our world is full of color everywhere you look. Have you ever wondered how colors feel or how you can mix them to create even more vibrant colors? As a young artist, you will learn more about color than you thought you knew using song, dance and creative play. You’ll be able to show off your vibrant performing arts skills with the special people in your life during your end-of-week final share.

Beginning with 2022 summer programming, we will require full vaccination against COVID-19 for every camper who is eligible to be vaccinated.
July 25 – 29, 2022 in-person at Bon Air United Methodist Church (1645 Buford Rd, Richmond, VA 23235)
Hours: 9am – 3pm (optional extended day care available at an additonal cost)
- Early Arrival from 8:15AM to 9AM, $42
- Extended Afternoon from 3PM to 4:30PM, $84
Ages: 6 – 8; Rising 1st – 3rd Grades
Theme: This Kitchen is a Mess!
Have you ever been whipping up a wonderfully creative concoction and an adult has said this to you? This summer you run the kitchen as a make-believe master chef using storytelling, song, and dance to cook up a storm! Though you won’t learn to actually cook in this performing arts camp, your inspiration for future recipes will be on fire by the end of the week. Share your new chef’s persona at your final performance for friends and family.

August Adventure JR. 2021 Presents Disney’s Winnie the Pooh KIDS
Disney's Winnie the Pooh KIDS is a delightful show based on the beloved characters of A.A. Milne and the 2011 Disney animated feature film. Featuring favorite songs from the film, as well as new hits by the Academy Award-winning Robert and Kristen Lopez (Frozen), this honey-filled delight is as sweet as it is fun. Welcome to the Hundred Acre Wood, where Winnie the Pooh is once again in search of honey. Along the way, he meets his pals, but soon discovers that Christopher Robin has been captured by the mysterious Backson! As they prepare for a rescue operation, the animals learn about teamwork, friendship and, of course... sharing snacks.
Performers in August Adventure will film Disney’s Winnie the Pooh KIDS on the last day of camp in order to share their show with friends and family.
August Adventure is presented in partnership with Cadence Theatre Co.
