Focus In Film Camp (Code 129)

July 10 – July 21, 2023 in-person at SPARC (2106 N. Hamilton St., Richmond, VA 23230)
Hours: Mon. – Fri., 9AM to 3PM
Grades: Rising 6th to 8th
Step onto the red carpet for two weeks and learn more about the art of film from both sides of the camera! Students will gain hands-on experience in on-screen acting, camera work, and editing for movies and television and will even create independent projects featuring their own ideas. Each camper will receive a souvenir t-shirt to wear during their final performance and to remember their time at camp.

OUT Loud (Code 130)

July 17 – July 21, 2023 in-person at SPARC (2106 N. Hamilton St., Richmond, VA 23230)
Hours: Mon. – Fri., 9am – 3pm (optional extended day care available at an additional cost)
- Early Arrival: 8:15am – 9am (Mon – Fri) $60
- Extended Day: 3pm – 4:30pm (Mon – Fri) $90
Grades: Rising 8th through Rising 12th
Embrace your role in the LGBTQ+ community through this performing arts camp exclusively for LGBTQ+ identifying youth. This theatre arts camp is the only one of its kind in the area. During your week, you will learn and use the performing arts to devise your own original piece of theatre to be presented at the end of the week for friends, family, and other community members. Through song, dance, and storytelling you will be able to tell your own unique stories and share your experiences as you grow as a theatre artist and LGBTQ+ community member. Each camper will receive a souvenir t-shirt to wear during their final performance and to remember their time at camp.

August Adventure at Bon Air United Methodist Church (Code 121)

July 31 - August 12, 2023 in-person at Bon Air United Methodist Church (1645 Buford Rd, Richmond, VA 23235)
Hours: Mon. – Fri., 9am – 3pm (optional extended day care available at an additional cost) Saturday, August 12: 9am-3pm and Final Shares that evening
- Early Arrival from 8:15AM – 9AM, $120
- Extended Afternoon from 3PM – 4:30PM, $180
Grades: Rising 5th to 8th
August Adventure 2023 Presents Disney’s Finding Nemo JR.!
Disney’s Finding Nemo JR. is musical adaptation of the beloved 2003 Pixar movie Finding Nemo, with new music by the award-winning songwriting team behind Frozen. Finding Nemo JR. brings a vibrant underwater world to life on stage in a story full of family, friendship, and adventure. Marlin, an anxious and over-protective clownfish, lives in the Great Barrier Reef with his kid Nemo, who longs to explore the world beyond their anemone home. When Nemo is captured and taken to Sydney, Marlin faces his fears and sets off on an epic adventure across the ocean. With the help of lovable characters such as optimistic Dory, laid-back sea turtle Crush, and the supportive Tank Gang, Marlin and Nemo both overcome challenges on their journey to find each other and themselves.
Final shares for this camp will take place on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at SPARC’s Hamilton Street Campus.
Each camper will receive a souvenir script and a t-shirt to wear during their final performance and remember their time at camp.
