Joke-Writing

In this workshop, we'll explore the science and art of writing jokes. We'll delve into the different types of punchlines and practice taking funny ideas from premise to product. At the end of the workshop, we’ll run a mini stand-up minute, so those who are feeling ready can share their jokes with the group! 

Presence for Stand-Up Performance 

Saturday, April 12 11AM to 12:30PM

This workshop is a great choice for students who are looking to improve their overall stage presence, and especially those who are interested in comedy! In this one-time class, we'll work on joke delivery, getting comfortable using a microphone and the importance of pauses, inflection, and volume when performing. The workshop will meet in SPARC’s theater, so students can practice these skills on stage!
