Theatre Olympic Games (Grades 1-5) (Code 112)

Theatre Olympic Games: Get ready for a fun-filled, high-energy theatre experience in this one-time class! In the Theatre Olympic Games, we’ll dive into many beloved improv and theatre games—designed to challenge your creativity, quick thinking, and teamwork. Whether you're a seasoned performer or a first timer, this class is all about having fun and working together as a team to rack up points.
Compete for your team: You'll be split into teams, and each game will give you the chance to earn points. The team with the most points at the end of our showdown will be our Theatre Olympic Games Champions!
More than one way to gold: In this challenge, showing good sportsmanship and supporting your team is just as important as winning points from the games. To recognize this important work, additional points will be awarded to a students' teams when they demonstrate good teamwork.
No matter how you score, this class is about celebrating creativity, collaboration, and the joy of performance.
Dance It Out Workshop Package (Grades 1-5) (Code 112)

Dance It Out: Can’t Stop the Feeling
(Monday, May 5th 4PM to 5PM)
This workshop combines the energy of jazz and musical theatre dance, offering a dynamic class suitable for all experience levels. Set to the music of DreamWorks’ Trolls, students will have the opportunity to stretch their abilities through warm-ups, across the floor exercises, and a fun choreographed combination. Build confidence, enhance your technique, and get ready for an exciting, high-energy class!
Dance It Out: My Favorite Things
(Wednesday, May 7th 5PM to 6PM)
This workshop offers students an opportunity to explore the intersection between ballet and musical theatre dance. No prior dance experience is needed—whether you’re just starting out or have a background in musical theatre or ballet, this class is designed to support all levels. Students will work through center barre, across the floor exercises, and a combination from the beloved Sound of Music, all while developing their technical skills and storytelling abilities.

Bravo Jr. Session 1 (Code 123)

June 2 – June 13, 2025 in-person at Derbyshire Baptist Church (8800 Derbyshire Rd, Richmond, VA 23229)
Hours: Mon. – Fri., 9AM to 3PM (optional extended day available at an additional cost)
- Early Arrival from 8:15AM to 9AM, $140
- Extended Afternoon from 3PM to 4:30PM, $210
Extended afternoons are not offered on the last day of camp. Youth will go home with trusted adults after their final sharing performance.
Grades: Rising 4th and 5th
Campers will explore the performing arts through theatrical techniques, song, dance, visual art, and so much more, all while crafting an original production using innovative, original ideas. Exciting camp experiences like theme days and guest artists make Bravo Jr. an unforgettable experience! Friends and family will be excited to share in your success by watching your final share.
Campers are welcome to enroll in Bravo Jr. session 2, but it’s important to note that the Bravo Jr. curriculum from session 1 will repeat in session 2.

Focus In: Shorts! (Code 129)

Step onto the red carpet for one week and learn more about the art of film from both sides of the camera! Students will gain hands-on experience in on-screen acting, camera work, and editing for movies and television and will even create independent projects featuring their own ideas.

Backstage Camp 4th-7th (Code 130)

SPARC’s Backstage Camp is a great choice for young people who love to build new things, bring their ideas to life, and get a messy along the way. Learn important skills that designers and technicians need for staging theatrical productions, like painting, making props, stage management, costuming, and more.
Youth who are interested in learning more about technical theatre are encouraged to participate! No prior skills or experience are necessary.
